Peter Kropf has received his diploma (lic. phil. nat) in mathematics and his Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the
University of Bern, Switzerland. From 1994 to 1999, he has
been an assistant and associate professor at Laval University, Quebec, Canada.
Thereafter he was appointed as an associate professor at the department of computer science and operations research
(DIRO) at University of Montreal, Canada. At both universities (Laval and Montreal) he currently hold appointments as invited Professor.
In 2001 he introduced the first (French) Master's program in e-commerce with an interdisciplinary approach (computer science, management and law). Since
October 2003, he is a Professor and head of Department at the Computer Science
Department at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
Peter Kropf is currently vice-dean of the Faculty of science. Furthemore, he is a member of the
and researcher at the Center of Research for Transportation (CRT), Montreal.
He has published
over 80 research papers in the field of
parallel and distributed systems, simulation and optimisation.
